Class of 2008 Earn High School Scholarship Offers and Entrance Test Awards

On Saturday, November 17, 2007 St. Mary School Grade 8 students joined hundreds of students from around the archdiocese in taking an entrance exam for all Catholic High Schools in the city. Students selected three schools to receive their test score and then waited to hear from those schools until mid-January. Summit Country Day School awarded:
  • One Summit Scholar with an Academic Scholarship of $16,000
  • Three Summit Scholars with Academic Scholarship of $8000
  • Five Leadership Scholarships of $6000
Purcell Marian High School awarded:
  • One Brems Scholarship of a full 4 year tuition of $30,000 with the highest test score submitted by a St. Mary School students
  • Four Praestans Inter Omnes Scholarship of $15,000, ½ of the 4 year tuition
  • Four Catholic Student Achievement Grants of $8800
St. Ursula Academy awarded:
  • Three Academic Entrance Test Scholarships of $12,000
  • Seven Admission with Distinctions
Ursuline Academy awarded:
  • Two Entrance Test Scholarships of $8,000
  • One Entrance Test Scholarship of $6,000

St. Xavier High School named:
  • Four St. Francis Xavier Scholars for scoring in the top 4% on the Entrance Exam
