Student Government

St. Mary Student Council consists of eleven 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Each fall the Junior High elects a president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, public relations, and two 6th,7th,and 8th grade representatives. Student council moderators this year are teachers Mrs. Suzanne Doyle and Mrs. Stephanie Becker. The council meets every Thursday at 8:00 AM.

Student Council takes charge of a wide range of responsibilities from acting as hosts and hostesses for school visitors and setting up for school assemblies to coordinating community service activities such as the collection of toys for the Seven Hills Neighborhood Services' Christmas store in the East End and a February food drive.

Student Council also organizes events like Survival Day at the end of each quarter. Students are permitted to come out-of-uniform and student council will sell different items in honor of "surviving" the quarter.
